Play for the fun of it, not just to please your parents or coach.
· Play by the rules.
· Never argue with the officials’ decisions.
· Control your temper.
· Work equally for yourself & your team.
· Be a good sport.
· Try not to be negative to your opponent.
· Treat all players on the field as you want to be treated.
· Remember that the goals of the game are to have fun, improve your skills and feel good.
· Don’t be a show-off or try to be the player with the most goals.
· Cooperate with your coach, teammates and opponents, for without them you don’t have a game.

PARENTS’ CODE
Do not force an unwilling child to participate in sports.
· Remember children are involved in organized sports for their enjoyment, not yours.
· Encourage your child to play by the rules.
· Teach your child that an honest effort is as important as a victory so the result of each game is accepted without undue disappointment.
· Turn defeat to victory by helping your child work toward skill improvement and good sportsmanship. Never ridicule or yell at your child for making a mistake or losing a competition.
· Remember that children learn best by example.
· Applaud good plays by your team and by members of the opposing team.
· Do not publicly question the officials’ judgment and never their honesty.
· Support all effort to remove verbal and physical abuse from children’s sporting activities.
· Recognize the value and importance of volunteer coaches. They give their time and resources to provide recreational activities to your child.
· Parents should encourage their children to play by the rules, that an honest effort is as important as a victory and applaud good plays by their own team as well as good plays by opposing teams.
