Step Express
A great way to strengthen and shape the lower body one step at a time. This energetic cardio workout includes step aerobics, muscles shaping for the upper body, and abdominal work. Participants need to bring their own step, hand weights, and a towel to class.

Fitness Yoga
Journey through a 75 minute mind-body class. Discover the strength and cardiovascular benefits of this power yoga class and enjoy the relaxation as you reduce stress. Gain flexibility and balance through a flow of yoga poses. This is a great class for all levels including advanced, intermediate, and beginners. Shall We Dance? Ballroom Dance Lessons
Dance like the stars in a fun loving atmosphere! Advanced Ballroom Class - students must have dance experience or have taken at least 3 sessions with Kurt. Learn continuity and technique. Proper dance shoes a must. Beginners Social Dance Class - Learn the social dances such as swing, salsa, hustle and foxtrot and come dance the night away. Please wear leather bottom shoes. Singles are welcome. What great exercise and fun! Discounts apply for couples and previous students. Instructor Kurt Lemmer is the 2007 New England Yankee classic gold champion and placed 2nd in silver at the Ohio Star Ball in 2006.

Men's 30 & Over Fall BasketballGet off those couches and come out to play! What a great way to stay fit and get in shape for the winter basketball league. This program is for residents only. Co-Ed Volleyball League
We have openings for new teams. There is an A League and a B (less competitive). The captains' meeting will be held in mid-September . If you have a team or would like more info., please call 345-8334. If you do not have a team, please call, and your name will be put on a list that will be made available to the captains. If a team captain needs more players, they will call from the list. The league plays on Wednesday evenings at the HK High School Fieldhouse and begins in October.

Get Fit!
Re-shape your body and lose weight at the same time! This personalized class will emphasize safe and effective resistance training techniques to help achieve your fitness goals. A variety of cardiovascular equipment is available such as stationary bikes, elliptical trainers and treadmills. There is also weight training equiment. All ability levels will benefit from this class and participants can workout at their own personal pace. Start the year right and Get Fit!

A great sampler if you are thinking about losing weight, improving your mental and physical health and/or getting fitter. Try out one or all (Bootcamp Training for strength and calorie burn, Fitness Yoga for flexibility & balance, or Pilates to strengthen your whole body, especially your core). All will give you the opportunity to find the workout for YOU. *All proceeds will be donated to The Killingworth Scholarship Association.

Zumba!
Zumba is a new Latin inspired dance/fitness craze you don't want to miss. Traditional Latin dances are mixed with modern music and easy to follow choreography to give a great and fun cardio workout. Stretching, abs and toning will also be added. Anyone can Zumba - no dance experience necessary!

Copic markers are the first marker created entirely with the designer in mind. Copics are an alcohol based refillable marker that can be layered and blended on surfaces other than paper. They are environmentally friendly, can be used for airbrushing, and are blendable. This class will open the door for those having a difficulty finding the right embellishment or colors to coordinate with paper. Come check it out.

CT Basic Boat CourseThis D.E.P. course includes instruction in legal requirements, navigation rules, safety afloat and other topics that will help participants become knowledgeable and safe boaters. Students passing this course will satisfy the requirements for the CT Safe Boating Certificate and Certificate of Personal Watercraft Operation.

Canine Encounters - Dog Obedience
Learn how to train your dog. Classes provide socialization through a group setting & enhances the relationship between owner and dog through the partnership which is developed through training. Communication, positive reinforcement, repetition, consistency, and timing are combined to establish bonding and skills. The basic commands such as sit, stay/wait, down, heel, the recall (come when called), and stand are taught in a positive and fun atmosphere. The goal is not a controlled pet, but rather a well-mannered, enjoyable & loved companion. The 1st class is for owners only (theory).Who: Dogs ages 5 months & up

Basic Auto Maintenance
This workshop will be a basic overview on vehicle maintenance. Topics include: how often to change your oil, how to check fluids, when to get your car serviced, how to make your car last longer and avoid unwanted repairs, how to check tire pressure, and how to prepare your car for winter. There will be time to learn about your own car's engine and how to identify your car's anatomy. Please bring your owner's manual and a flashlight.Who: High School and up
