Fitness Yoga

Journey through a 75 minute mind-body class. Discover the strength and cardiovascular benefits of this power yoga class and enjoy the relaxation as you reduce stress. Gain flexibility and balance through a flow of yoga poses. This is a great class for all levels including advanced, intermediate, and beginners. Please bring a yoga mat to class.

Dance Like a Star! Ballroom Dance Lessons

Come and learn how to Ballroom Dance like a star! Join in the fun with Kurt and Mary Lemmer (5 X amateur in American Smooth Dancing US National Finalist)Advanced Ballroom Class - students must have dance experience or have taken at least 3 sessions with Kurt. Learn continuity and technique. Proper dance shoes a must. Beginners Dance Class - Let the basic elements of Swing, Foxtrot, Rumba, and more capture the spotlight for you. What great exercise and fun!

Tennis with a Twist

A great opportunity to get some exercise using different tennis drills and improving your game at the same time. Work on forehand, backhand, serve and some strategy lessons. Beginners will learn the fundamentals while more experienced players will get a great cardio workout and improve skills.

Self Care & Body Maintenance

Are you tired of feeling low energy, lethargic, cranky and stiff? Come to this class to stretch all your muscles from head to toe. Teresa will include techniques from tai chi, massage, reiki, therapeutic touch and stress management to help you find your energy again and jump start your days or calm your nights. Have trouble sleeping? Learn techniques to help with that too. Learn to take your health back into your own Hands. Teresa is a Licensed and Nationally Certified Massage Therapist, practicing since 1984; and a Certified Reflexologist since 1998.

Massage for Two

Would you love to receive a massage from your loved one, partner or friend without hearing them complain about how tired their hands are after two minutes? Try this massage class and learn techniques of massage that are fun and even energizing for both of you. It’s fun and it’s invigorating. You’ll even learn some new tricks of your own. This is a creative art. Come with an open mind and the desire to relax your mind and body. Participants should bring a sleeping bag and pillow to class and wear comfortable clothing.

Live Well Workshops

Are you an adult with an ongoing health condition? You will get the support you need, find practical ways to deal with pain and fatigue, discover better nutrition and exercise choices, understand new treatment choices, and learn better ways to talk with your doctor and family about your health. If you have conditions such as diabetes, arthritis, high blood pressure, heart disease, chronic pain, anxiety, then the Live Well Workshop can help you take charge of your life! This workshop is suitable for people with chronic health conditions, their family members, friends and caregivers!

Men's 30 & Over Fall Basketball

Get off those couches and come out to play! What a great way to stay fit and get in shape for the winter basketball league. This program is for residents only. Returning players, please bring your reversible Men's League tank top. New players, please bring $25 to purchase a Men's League tank top.

Co-Ed Volleyball League

We have openings for new teams. There is an A League (competitive) and a B (recreational). If you have a team or would like more info., please call 345-8334. If you do not have a team, please call, and your name will be put on a list that will be made available to the captains. If a team captain needs more players, they will call from the list. The league plays on Wednesday evenings at the HK High School Fieldhouse and begins in October.



Senior Exercise

Get in shape, feel great, and have fun exercising with your friends. Designed for Senior Citizens.

Get Fit!

Re-shape your body and lose weight at the same time! This personalized class will emphasize safe and effective resistance training techniques to help achieve your fitness goals. A variety of cardiovascular equipment is available such as stationary bikes, elliptical trainers and treadmills. There is also weight training equiment. All ability levels will benefit from this class and participants can workout at their own personal pace. Start the year right and Get Fit!

Zumba!

Zumba is a new Latin inspired dance/fitness craze you don't want to miss. Traditional Latin dances are mixed with modern music and easy to follow choreography to give a great and fun cardio workout. Stretching, abs and toning will also be added. Anyone can Zumba - no dance experience necessary!

Canine Encounters - Dog Obedience

Learn how to train your dog. Classes provide socialization through a group setting & enhances the relationship between owner and dog through the partnership which is developed through training. Communication, positive reinforcement, repetition, consistency, and timing are combined to establish bonding and skills. The basic commands such as sit, stay/wait, down, heel, the recall (come when called), and stand are taught in a positive and fun atmosphere. The goal is not a controlled pet, but rather a well-mannered, enjoyable & loved companion. The 1st class is for owners only (theory).

Art Class

Learn how to draw and paint using different medias such as pen and ink, charcoal, pastel, pencil, watercolor, oils, and colors on a palette. Discover your hidden artistic talent. Long-time resident Edward Rosado has over 45 years experience and will give individual instruction in a small group setting. Beginners and Intermediates welcome. A list will be given to purchase around $25 in supplies.
