Liberty Bank Family Entertainment Series

Free Outdoor Summer Concerts sponsored by Liberty Bank and the HK Recreation Department! Bring a blanket or a chair to enjoy an evening of live entertainment at our local town green. Fun for the whole family! Food will be available - sold by the Haddam River Day Committee. An ice cream truck will also be present.
All shows are from 7:00 - 8:30 pm at the Higganum Green. In the event of rain, all shows will be cancelled. Call the HK Recreation Hotline: 345-8334 in case of inclement weather.

Haddam Village Market will be available from 3:30 - 7:00 pm every Friday, rain or shine.

Run for Cover Band NEW DATE FRIDAY, AUGUST 12TH

Friday, July 15th: Last Fair Deal
This four-piece band redraws the map of American roots music with fluid energy and creativity. They have an electric repertoire drawing on old-time string band, bluegrass, swing, and folk music. The band's shows feature originals from their album True Tales and their previous three albums. They also put their own spin on John Hartford, Hank Williams, Dan Hicks, Lennon/McCartney, John Hiatt, Nat King Cole, and Bob Dylan. Check out www.lastfairdeal.com.

Friday, July 22nd: On-Call
On-Call is Connecticut's premier acoustic/electric, Rock-Pop duo, featuring Greg "Ziggy" Zigmont and Tony Piacenta. They are well-known in the area for their impressive reproduction of classic songs and their extensive song selection. They play pop, rock and country tunes from the 50's , 60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's as well as some current music. Come out for a enjoyable night on the Green with great tunes! Friday, July 29th: The Boomers
This musical duo plays "good times" classic rock and pop favorites! They sound like a bigger band too! Their song list includes many favorites such as "Brown Eyed Girl", "Sweet Home Alabama", "Sweet Caroline", "Mustang Sally", "Cheeseburger in Paradise", and many more. Lots of audience singing and dancing will make for a fun family night.

Friday, August 5th: Annie & the MIXERS
Annie & the MIXERS is the new band to hear. Mixing up Top 40 Country Hits, Classic Rock, Blues and some Pop, there is a little mix for everyone such as Shania Twain, Pink, Tom Petty, The Eagles, Brook n Dunn, Rolling Stones, Bonnie Raitt Lady Antebellum and Katy Pery. Annie was the lead singer of the award winning Country Band, the Black Moon Band for over 17 years. In her early years she performed with Country legend, Johnny Cash and Blues legend, BB King. Don't miss this fun night that will be fun for teh whole family!

 

 

Kid's Entertainment Extravaganza

The HK Recreation Department has booked some funtastic shows. Children enrolled in our summer camp that week will be attending the show free of charge. All shows are at the HK HS Auditorium and are $2 per person.

World Class BMX Show

Meet 2 World Class BMX athletes! Kevin & Chris will bring their bikes and wow the audience with incredible bike stunts along with a speaking presentation to deal with today's difficult issues such as Bullying, Cyber bullying, Conflict Resolution, Character Building, & Perseverance. Kevin Robinson is an 8 time X-Games medalist, including 4 Gold medals. Chris Poulos is a world champion BMX Flatland champion.

Vic and Stics - Recycling Band
