Tennis Fun-damentals
Tennis is a game that has been played for many years and is a sport that you can enjoy your whole life. Participants will learn the fundamentals of tennis such as the forehand, backhand, volley, lobs, and the serve using Quickstart equipment. Basic playing strategies will also be discussed. Classes will advance based on the skill levels in each class. Coach Pakus was the USTA - New England Region 2003 High School Coach of the Year. Please bring a racquet and water. Please wear sneakers and sunscreen. Racquets will be provided if you don't have one.

Chris Corkum's Baseball Camp
Chris Corkum brings out the best in young athletes of all levels! Daily features include individual and small group instruction in fielding, throwing, hitting, pitching, base running, and game strategy. Please bring a bat and glove, and water bottle. Fee includes a T-shirt.

This multi-sport program gives children a positive first step into athletics. Baseball, basketball and soccer are taught in a safe, structured environment with lots of encouragement and a big focus on fun. Our games and activities are designed to allow campers to explore balance, movement, hand/eye coordination, and skill development at their own pace. Skyhawks Volleyball takes the energy and excitement of this great team sport and puts it together into one fun-filled camp. All aspects of the game are taught through drills and exercises that focus on passing, setting, hitting and serving. This co-ed program is designed for the beginning and intermediate player. Staff will assist each athlete in developing fundamental skills through game-speed drills and daily scrimmages aimed at developing the whole player. The participant-to-coach ratio is approximately 12:1. Please bring 2 snacks, water bottle, and knee pads. Includes a t-shirt & merit award.

Skyhawks Flag Football is the perfect program for your young athletes who want a complete introduction to Americas Game or for those who simply want to brush up on their skills in preparation for league play. Through our skill of the day campers will learn skills on both sides of the ball including the core components of passing, catching, and de-flagging or defensive positioning all presented in a fun & positive environment. Recommended for beginner to intermediate athletes. The week ends with the Skyhawks Sports Bowl, giving participants a chance to showcase their skills on the gridiron! Skyhawks Tennis with Quickstart
Skyhawks Tennis with Quickstart is a new format to help young kids learn and play tennis. To create a successful learning environment, we have made modifications to our traditional tennis program. The court is smaller and has shorter nets, the racquets are smaller, and the balls are foam. In addition to developing a love for tennis, athletes will learn the rules and etiquette that make tennis such an exciting game to play. All coaches are trained by USTA professionals. Enrollment in the Quickstart program entitles participants to become Junior Members of the USTA for one year. Participant-to-coach ratio is approximately 8:1. Please bring water, sneakers, a 19" - 21" racquet, & wear sunscreen. Includes a t-shirt & merit award.Who: Boys & girls ages 5 - 7

Gymnastics Camp
Students will be introduced to basic floor tumbling as well as some apparatus use. Participants will work on front rolls, back rolls, cartwheels, handstands and bridges. Older campers will be introduced to round-offs, limbers and handsprings. Students will learn to walk front and back on the balance beam as well as hops, skips and little jumps; work on the low-rail bar and learn squats and straddles on the vault.Who: Boy and girls ages 3 - 10

This fun, skill-intensive program is designed with the beginning to intermediate player in mind. Using our progressive curriculum, our basketball staff focus on the whole player, teaching your child the skills needed both on and off the court to be a better athlete. Each day will start with a skill of the day and progress into drills and games. After a week of passing, shooting, dribbling, and rebounding, your child will show you why this is one of our most popular programs. Participant-to-coach ratio is approximately 8:1 (gr. Middlesex Football Camp
This non-contact camp is designed to improve the basic skills and fundamental techniques of the game of football. The goal is to heighten the interest of young people and teach them the proper fundamentals of the game. Each camper will have the opportunity to learn how to play the different positions in the game of football. The coaches are all certified from the local area and football programs. Skyhawks Track & Field was developed to introduce young athletes to this sport rich in tradition and history. These programs combine technical development and fundamental techniques with safety and a major focus on fun! Using special equipment, our staff teach exercises and drills that prepare athletes for a future in cross-country, track & field events, and distance running while inspiring a love for running and being active. The fundamentals of body positioning, stride, proper stretching, and cool-down techniques are covered in this unique program. Participants will put it all together for one fun-filled day at the end of the week's track meet! Participant-to-coach ratio is approximately 14:1. Skip's Junior Golf Camp
Designed for those who have taken Skip's Jr. class, this camp's focus will be enjoyment of the game and sportsmanship. Rules, golf course strategy and development of the swing will be featured. Campers will play at a local 9-hole golf course, Miner's Hill in Middletown, on the last day. Please bring clubs. Fee includes a golf shirt and round of golf.Who: Boys and girls ages 8 - 14

The unique and popular game of lacrosse combines skills used in soccer, basketball, and hockey. Athletes will learn all the fundamental skills, including stick handling, cradling, passing, and shooting, in a no-checking environment. The participant-to-coach ratio is approximately 12:1. Designed to develop player's skills and technique in a fun and stimulating environment. Younger players will learn the fundamentals through fun games, small-sided games, as well as be introduced to attacking, defending, and rules of the game. Older players will develop themselves through challenging game related situations. The focus will be on technical development, functional and positional practices, tactical decision making, and advanced concepts and fitness. Participant to player ratio is 12:1. Staff are certified coaches from Britain, Europe, and USA and have played professional or semi-professional soccer. Fee includes shirt and ball (please indicate sizes on form). Kid's Boot Camp
The camp consists of education on nutrition-diet-exercise and encouragement on how to make healthy choices. After the learning portion of the camp, the kids move on to games and activities all fitness/exercise related. Circle Chat is the final segment of the camp. The kids can ask questions, share stories or thoughts about their experience with exercise, food and diet. Each portion of the camp has an emphasis on all things meant to inspire, educate and motivate children to want to begin to take control of their health at an early age. Most importantly this "boot camp" is meant to be a place where exercise and nutrition are promoted in a fun, non-threatening, non-competitive environment. Please bring a healthy snack, water, and be prepared to workout!
